It's been a weird couple of days for what "being online" even means. YouTube's view count is basically an impression now. Pavel Durov is talking about .gram names so a billion Telegram users aren't just guests in an app. Different headlines, same itch: most of us don't actually own the place we show up. And a lot of what we were told was "reach" was bots and fake traffic anyway. YouTube treating a view like an impression might as well mean the thumbnail loaded while you scrolled the timeline. I'll write a longer article on this too. That's why Blip will be important. Individuals, businesses, and orgs, if you already paid for a domain, or you're about to, you should get to post and be found as that name. Not another free handle that can drift, and not an ID upload to prove you're real. For a business that's the difference between a page the platform can rename and an address customers already type. You wanted a presence you can keep. That's the product.
